Job Purpose :

- This would be one of the most critical desks of HR Shared Services (Operations) team with end to end responsibility of Payroll and post Payroll activities including Statutory, Regulatory, Accounting and Group Reporting.

- Furthermore, the position would own the Group Human Resource System (HRMS), Life Cycle Management and Staff Background Verification.

Key Responsibilities :

- Payroll, Off-boarding & Year End Tax Activities

- Manage the monthly payroll processing for staff and trainees in co-ordination with the payroll vendors. Ensure 100% accuracy in considering the inputs & timeline adherence.

- Responsible for end-to-end exit formalities and final settlements for resigned employees.

- Timely issuance of tax certificates to employees and act as a point of contact for tax related queries

- End to end retiral benefit management - Gratuity and assistance on Provident Fund

Financial Accounting for HRSS (GLAO) :

- Posting GL Entries for all HR Accounts and perform timely OTT Reconciliation

- Partner with Finance team and ensure that there are no breaks in suspense accounts

Regulatory Returns :

- Ensure all statutory and regulatory returns like Income Tax, Profession Tax, Provident Fund & Employment Exchange are timely complied with 100% accuracy

- Partner with the Payroll/ Compliance vendor and ensure that regulatory payments are deposited on time and the challans are on place

- Group Human Resource Management System (HRMS)

- Responsible for end to end life cycle management on HRMS and local staff database.

- Life cycle changes includes data management for - New joinee, resignation, Pay rate change, promotions, re-designation, transfers, bank a/c number, PAN card number, cost centre, dependant details, personal details, etc)

MIS Reporting :

- Monthly head count reporting to various divisions - CRESA, L&C, Finance

- End to end HRSS financial provisioning to finance (viz: LTA, T&I, vendor payment, etc)

- Renewal and ongoing endorsement data to Insurance service providers - GHI, GTL & GPA

(KYE) adherence - Staff background verification

- Ensure end to end KYE governance - Staff background verification to be done within stipulated time frames.

- Co-ordination with the vendors & business HR team for timely closure of Amber & Red reports with necessary approvals

Life Cycle Management :

- Timely issuance of appointment letters in co-ordination with recruitment team

- Oversee the smooth functioning of onboarding formalities for new joinees

- Managing the HR HelpDesk by acting as a 2nd level contact point for complex HRSS queries

- Ensure Staff personal files have all the relevant documents and perform regular audits

- Ensure Vendor invoices are processed on time as per the agreed SLAs

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Graduate / Post Graduate with minimum 6 years HR Operations experience, preferably with a Multinational Bank / Domestic Bank or Financial Institution

- Professional Certification - if any would be preferable

- In depth knowledge of banking HR & employee related policies

- Payroll, Statutory and regulatory compliance knowledge

- Service Excellence & Delivery management

- Excellent communication skills dealing with multiple stakeholders

Computer proficiency - Strong Ms Office skills desired
