DB Corp is the largest print media company of India. It publishes newspapers in 3 Indian languages across 12 Indian States with 65 print Editions with 6.6 cr total readerships. Its flagship brand in Hindi language is Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar is Gujarati language and Divya Marathi is Marathi language newspaper. In FY 18-19, DB Corp recorded revenue of around USD 350 Million with PAT of around USD 40 Million.

The group employs 2700 journalists throughout the country for its news gathering operations which makes for more than 25% of its total workforce of around 10,000 employees.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Head of Brand Brand Alliances & Sponsorship. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic alliances with brands across industries, as well as securing sponsorship deals for our various initiatives and events, contributing to the growth and market positioning of Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar & Divya Marathi. The role will report to the Head of Brand and product marketing based out of Bhopal. The role requires traveling to Bhopal and clients locations as per the requirement. The State brand alliance & partnership team will report into this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand alliance and sponsorship strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

- Identify and evaluate potential brand partners and sponsors based on market trends, audience demographics, and business goals.

Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, brands, and industry influencers.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between brand alliances, sponsorships, and the overall marketing strategy.

Deal Negotiation:

- Lead negotiations and finalize agreements with brand partners and sponsors, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that enhance Dainik Bhaskar's brand image and revenue streams.

Event Sponsorship:

- Drive revenue generation through effective sponsorship deals for events such as Bhaskar Utsav, Abhivakti, Youth Festivals, and other brand-related initiatives.

- Develop and close annual sponsorship deals with clients, meeting revenue targets and ensuring a positive return on investment.

Innovative Campaigns:

- Conceptualize and execute innovative and impactful brand campaigns, leveraging partnerships and sponsorships to maximize visibility and engagement.

Market Analysis:

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for strategic alliances and sponsorships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, editorial, and events, to ensure the seamless execution of brand partnerships, sponsorships, and events.

Budget Management:

- Develop and manage budgets for brand alliance and sponsorship activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize returns.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

- Proven track record in developing and managing successful brand partnerships in the media or related industry.

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to create win-win solutions.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
