Dainik Bhaskar is the world's 3rd largest print media company & the largest news media group in India by circulation. It publishes newspapers in 3 Indian languages across 12 Indian States with 65 print Editions with 6.6 crore total readerships. Its flagship brand in Hindi language is Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar in Gujarati language and Divya Marathi is Marathi language newspaper.

In FY 18-19, DB Corp recorded revenue of around USD 350 Million with PAT of around USD 40 Million.

The group employs 2700 journalists throughout the country for its news gathering operations which makes for more than 25% of its total workforce of around 10,000 employees.

DB Corp also has a significant presence in the Radio and Digital Media segment. Our radio brand, 'My FM 94.3', which currently operates from 30 stations in 7 States, is growing rapidly and aggressively. Its digital presence is widespread with 9 portals for rapidly expanding digital audiences and 4 actively downloaded mobile applications.

Our 'new launches' have been taken up as case studies by leading management institutes in India, such as Indian Institute of Management (IIM Ahmedabad)- for Ahmedabad Edition launch, Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) - for Aurangabad Edition Launch in Marathi Language and Mudra Institute for Communication- Jaipur Edition launch. Key Purpose of the Role:

- The incumbent will be responsible for leading sales and strategy initiatives across all sales verticals and support the Chief Business Officer to design, lead and execute tactical business development plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Drive and lead sales strategies at the company level with the Chief Business Officer to create and sustain competitive advantage.

- Drive and lead P&L measurement & control, topline maximization initiatives and new business planning efforts across all sales verticals.

- Developing actionable strategies that create measurable long-term value for the organization.

- Develop, direct and control the strategic and operational planning frameworks and planning outcomes for the organization in the short, medium and long term.

- Identify and review pricing and market trends; analyze and apply this information in development of strategies for individual market segments.

- Partner with business leaders to drive innovation and double digit growth agenda.

- Continuously monitor and evaluate sales target goals and identify opportunities for improvement both in systemic and team inefficiency.

- Lead new business initiatives, pilot programs, and regional rollouts; based on results, make, recommend, and implement adjustments and modifications.

- Oversee the strategic planning process across the organization, ensuring integration across functions.

- Provide thought leadership behind improving existing data models and business intelligence efforts supporting new initiatives and growth target.

- Lead processes on annual and quarterly planning, KPI reporting, and Business Review co-ordination.

Specification:

- Senior managerial experience of leading and executing sales and marketing operations and consistently delivering numbers through planning, organizing, controlling, managing, developing and directing strategic and operational activities including multidisciplinary areas of work which are complex and /or diverse.

- Demonstrated experience in spearheading branch / regional sales operations.

- Proven ability to articulate business strategies and formulate concise solutions to complex problems.

- Excellent consultative, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

- Ability to champion continuous change and consult with versatility

- Highly developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
