Department Profile

The Payment Services Utility manages the Group's messaging, screening and payment transaction infrastructures and the operations and change functions related to them. Data Services, within the Utility, is a x-functional team combining the operational, technical and change expertise necessary to build, run and govern solutions in support of the Group's payments data requirements

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to support the CDO in establishing end to end governance of the Group's payment data, ensuring that Group's data management standards are implemented and that the necessary processes and controls are put in place and operated effectively.

Principal Accountabilities

- Implementing the Group's data standards and policy framework

- Governance activities at the Payments data domain level

- Identification, formal definition and change control in relation to payments data elements that are critical to internal processes and external reporting of payments related data

- Supporting implementation of the relevant processes, tooling and controls to monitor quality of these critical data elements.

- Use of tooling for data management activities such as quality profiling.

- Design and delivery of relevant metrics for data quality.

- Working with technology teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.

- Supporting data SMEs and analysts

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

- Demonstrable experience in implementation and operation of domain level data management and governance processes

- Demonstrable experience in managing the Data lifecycle

- Payments domain and technology knowledge / expertise desirable

- Ability and experience in working closely with business and functional stakeholders

- Role relevant qualifications, e.g. to degree level, is desirable

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills

- Excellent understanding of financial crime risk management and proven experience of compliance with relevant standards and regulations
