Data Solutions/Business Intelligence Role - BFSI

Duties & Responsibilities :

- Good experience in leading, managing and motivating core Data Solutions & BI developers. Be responsible for teams engagement and learning needs.

- Eagerness to line manage and develop junior colleagues core Technical and Behavioural competencies.Train, mentor, coach, and supervise team members

- Prior experience of working on multiple core Data & BI Solution: Azure data platform, Azure Data Platform, Power BI, Report Builder, QlikView, Qlik sense, MSBI.

- Experience of delivering projects across the lifecycle from end to end.

- Senior stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with business/technical focused stakeholders.

- Experience of discussing client needs for both project delivery and proposal work - translating these into solutions and executing the project.

- Demonstrated ability or experience of building and maintaining client relationships.

- Experience in dealing with large data sets, has experience with data visualization, and is passionate about Data, Insights and Analytics.

- Define, instrument, and maintain new and existing business KPIs, leveraging Azure data platform MS SQL and beyond

- Build and maintain ETLs, pipelines and automations to act on business performance accurately, scalable, with low latency, and minimal manual upkeep

- Ensure data quality by monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and creating solutions

- Establish and embed a comprehensive and analytical Data Solution and Business Intelligence model that facilitates achievement of business objectives

- Shape and deliver projects solutions to meet and exceed the expectations of our stakeholders & customers and our own quality criteria

- Be involved in activities to help identify & research opportunities on new/existing stakeholders

- Consulting stakeholders on getting more from their data and build insights & dashboards using various visualisation tools

- Knowledge to implement various data, forecasting and statistical analysis components using tools like R, Python, Azure Analytics components

General Responsibilities

- Develop Data Solution andBI&Insights skills within the team through knowledge sharing sessions, articles, etc.

- Participate in 10FA India Pvt. Ltd. (M&G India) community event, Management Open House, etc.

- Adherence to organisations Risk & Controls requirements

- Support new joiners in the team whilst they get settled in the organisationthrough - Buddy- program

Qualification :

- Preferably should have Technical/Science Graduation degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline

- MBA desirable

- Project management using Agile methodology

- Data and Business Intelligence certification would be an add on

Experience :

- At least 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in Data, BI, Insights, Analytics, Reporting domain

- A high level of drive with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

- Experience of providing insightful solutions throughout the business.

- The ability to participate effectively in meetings with senior stakeholders.

- A team player who supports, encourages and shares knowledge with others.

- A self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision.

- The ability to work as part of an integrated team or on an individual basis.

Required Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Mandatory) :

- More than 3 years of experience in Data Solutions and BI Management.

- Demonstrable, strong leadership skills with experience of leading a high performing team.

- Ability to analyse options to best determine solutions to set direction for team.

- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with customers and stakeholders alike.

- Experience in planning, business development and business case creation

- Successful track record of project delivery involving business process and change

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills

- Previous experience of management in a fast-paced environment, working with large volumes of data

- Strong technical background in Azure data platform, Power Platform, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse/Modelling.

- Experience of the Microsoft SQL Server BI stack, including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.

- T-SQL including the use of stored procedures, functions, tables, triggers and views

- Troubleshooting and optimising databases and queries

- Maintaining and programming in Power BI, Report Builder, MSBI

- Power BI Dashboard solutions - develop, maintain and support multiple engagements

- Cloud based implementations, Azure - Desirable

Good to have Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Desired) :

- Knowledge& experience of Big & Fast Data

- Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Apache Spark framework

- Power Platform development

- R/Python data visualization and scripting skills

- JavaScript visualisation libraries, D3.js, Angular.js, HTML, CSS

- PowerShell scripting, .NET technologies, SharePoint development

- Knowledge and experience in BFSI/Insurance domain

- Knowledge and exposure to Regulatory processes like Information Security, Data Protection, etc.)

- Onshore/Client site working experience
