Data Scientist - NLP - BFS

An exciting techno-functional opportunity with a Global banking and financial services firm for a Data Scientist holding relevant 7-10 years- experience in Machine Learning and holding expertise in NLP and Neural networks along with deep understanding of Statistical techniques. You will support the development of tech-enabled products to help management in decision making.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

- Perform in depth analysis to resolve a business problem by employing the appropriate tools available in the enterprise.

- Performing and Leveraging data science methods such as NLP, neural nets, regression, decision trees, and ensemble techniques to develop proprietary algorithms.

- Routinely make decisions for best course of action and to drive business solutions.

- Support internal and external processes and workflows, suggest improvements based on data analysis and provide insights into the enterprise operations.

- Work with business domain experts to identify data relevant for analysis.

- Provide and apply quality assurance best practices for data mining/analysis services.

- Develop new analytical methods and adhere to change control and testing processes for modifications to analytical models.

- Extract reports/ data, analyze and provide recommendations for the project undertaken

- Respond to and resolve data mining performance issues.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field is required.

- Hands on experience in developing or maintaining NLP projects and products.

- Deep understanding and expertise with NLP or Natural language processing.

- The candidate should have at least 6+ years of relevant experience in analysis in retail, direct marketing, or other consumer-oriented business with large customer databases and minimum of 4+ years of experience in Operations Analytics is preffered.

- Relevant experience of 7-10 years' in leading .and supervised machine learning projects

- Proficient in Python, SQL (PostgreSQL desired).

- Ability to work on a range of regression techniques including OLS, GLS, and limited dependent variable models.

- Understanding and Knowledge of one or more Banking solutions and Retail banking.

- Experience in delivering solutions using large datasets and data wrangling both structured and unstructured data.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience of working in Global/ Cross-cultural teams will be preferred Adaptive to organizational culture and business environment
