Data Scientist - Machine Learning/Deep Learning - IT

We have an opportunity for Data Scientist for one of our client in Bangalore/Hyderabad/Kolkata/Mumbai/Pune.

Responsibilities :

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques, principally with time and text data.

- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods, primarily using a mix of text and numeric data

- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

- Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed

- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

Skills and Experience Required :

- Experience with using Python in the Analytics context.

- Background and understanding of Deep Learning models, especially Sequence models as applied to Natural Language and Time Series tasks

- Experience of working in Analytics projects in an organizational setting with participation in at least 3 projects

- Experience and understanding of the IT Infrastructure domain (Monitoring and Ticketing processes on standard applications)

- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL

- Ability to communicate results and findings in clear, succinct English

Desirable Experience/ Skills :

- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase will be a plus

- Understanding of distributed computing area and acquaintance with MapReduce/ MPI (Cosmos/ Hadoop/ Spark/ Hive etc.) will be a plus

- Good understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Long Short Term Memory Neural Networks will be a definite plus

- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, D3.js, GGplot, etc.

Qualifications Desired :

- Bachelor's degree in numeric oriented fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering

- Masters degree in one of the above fields will be a plus

- Certification in Machine Learning

- Certification/ proven proficiency in Python
