Data Scientist - IT - IIT/NIT

Desired skills and competencies:

- Strong mathematical background with strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: Cognitive Science, Advanced Semantic Design, Information Extraction, Information Retrieval, Probabilistic Decision Making, image recognition, deep learning

- Experience leading project teams and people as well as executing independently

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams in a highly matrixed environment

- Excellent understanding of Analytics concepts and methodologies including machine learning (unsupervised and supervised)

- Hand on in handling very large amounts of structured and unstructured data.

- Experience with machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques

- Knowledge of RDBMS & Business Intelligence solutions preferred.

Requirements

- Experience should be more than 5 Years in DataScience and overall 10 years of exp.

- Candidate must be from Premier institute.

- Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred

- Proven experience as a Data Scientist

- Experience in data mining

- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research

- Must have hand - on experience on R, SQL and Python.

- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)

- Analytical mind and business acumen

- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)

- Problem-solving aptitude
