Data Scientist - IT

1. Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis

2. Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions

3. Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends

4. Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

5. Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis

6. - Use strong business acumen, as well as an ability to communicate findings

and mine vast amounts of data for useful insights

7. Use these insights to influence how an organisation approaches business challenges

8. Use a combined knowledge of computer science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems

9. Extract data from multiple sources

10. Sift and analyse data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight problems or opportunities

11. Communicate important information and insights to business and IT leaders

12. Make recommendations to adapt existing business strategies

13. Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
