Data Scientist - IT

Technical Skills :

- Handson expertise in any one ML language like R / Python / Scala

- Good analytical skill & Database knowledge - SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)

- Experience in handling midsized to large relational databases

- Very strong competency in working in Linux / Unix systems

- Basic understanding of Statistical Analysis, Validation, Feature engineering, etc.

- Strong competency in building exploratory visualizations

- Sound knowledge in machine learning techniques like Xgboost, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, etc.

- Exposure in NLP and text processing techniques

- Exposure to deep learning techniques with Keras, Tensorflow, etc.

- Experience in big data technologies and analytics in any area will be added advantage.

- Experience in various ETL tools like Talend Open Studio, RapidMiner, Infomatica, etc.

- Good track in any competition platforms like Kaggle, etc. will be significantly weighted

Functional Skills :

- Excellent oral, written and computer communication skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Work closely with the Innovations R&D team for conceptualization and PoC development

- Evaluate external ideas, solutions, products and technologies that could be used to expand Open Source capabilities

- Candidate should open to learn new open source techonogies and languages

- Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
