Data Scientist - FinTech

Data Science job opportunity in Bangalore and Kolkata with a fast paced fintech platform, an NBFC. It is a product environment where the firm seeks for an individual with at least 5 years of experience in supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithm in Python. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

- Advanced statistical and quantitative analysis skills - e.g. Machine Learning, Statistical modelling, Time Series Analysis, etc.

- Experience in deep learning, neural networks and NLP

- Knowledge of databases and associated tools - SQL

- Knowledge of ETL methods such as data imputation, data cleaning, outlier handling, etc.

- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following - R, Python, Neural Networks,

Technical Skills :

Must have :

- Programming - Python (Preferred) / R

- ML Models - i. Regression - Linear, Logistic, Multinomial, Mixed effect

- Classification - Bagging & Boosting (Random Forest), Decision tree, SVM

- Clustering - K-Means, hierarchical, DB-Scan

- Time series - ARIMA, SARIMA, ARIMAX, Holt-Winters, Multi TS (VAR), UCM

- Neural Networks (Deep learning), Naive Bayes

- Excel and SQL

- Dimensionality Reduction - PCA, SVD etc.

- Optimization Techniques - Linear programming, Gradient Descent, Genetic Algorithm

- Cloud - Understanding of Azure / AWS offerings, Setting up ML pipeline of cloud

Good to have :

- Visualization - Tableau / Power BI / Looker / QlikView

- Data management - HDFS, Spark, Advanced Excel

- Agile Tools - Azure DevOps, JIRA

- Pyspark

- Big Data/Hive Database

- IDE: Pycharm

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE :

- 5+ years of experience in analytics or data science space with exposure to technology.

- Expertise in big data technologies like spark, pyspark, sparkR etc. and natural language processing

- Engineering, mathematical or statistical background

- Expert in ML algorithms - regression, classification, segmentation, NLP, deep leaning and deep learning

- Working with databases such as MySQL, Big Query, Cockroach DB and MongoDB.

- Extensively worked on R/Python and SQL

- Deep exposure to AWS/ cloud architecture.

- Expertise in big data technologies like spark, pyspark, sparkR etc. and natural language processing

- Strong exposure to client management, product development, proposal creation etc.

- Exposure in implementing data science solutions in production environments
