Data Scientist - CPG

Immediate opening for data scientist with CPG MNC 

Exp level: 3 to 10yrs

Job location: MG Road, bangalore location

About the role:

Work involves:

- Understanding the business problem and translating into an analytical problem

- Coming up with an analytical solution and documenting

- Working with the Analytics Manager to create a project plan

- Working with Data Scientists as well as individually to implement the analytical solution, supporting them as required

- Doing research on advanced and better ways of solving the problems than how they are normally done and inculcating new learnings to the team,

- Extracting analytical insights and translating them to business insights and interacting with business stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

- 6-10 years experience, in advanced analytics doing complex models.

- CPG experience preferred.

- Ability to lead and guide upto 5 Data Scientists

- Excellent communication skills

- R, SAS, Python, Advanced Excel, atleast one programming language (C++ / Java)

- Conceptual understanding of various modeling techniques, pros, and cons of each technique

- Desired: Advanced SQL - should know the internal workings of hadoop clusters and should be able to optimize queries

- Strong Analytical Skills

- Ability to develop an entire solution

- Strong experience desired in one or more of the following capabilities:

- Pricing Conjoint Analysis

- Forecasting

- Media Mix Modelling

- Text Mining

- Social Media Analytics
