Data Product Manager - IT

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the data pipeline and platform segments of the organisation's business.

- You will work with the product leadership in planning the roadmap of the specific products of the company and executing it. You will assist in defining the overall product vision, scope, requirements, and execution.

- Lead the product execution of Data Operations - the movement and management of data within the organisation's systems.

- You will liaison among multiple teams related to data and the product team to understand, envisage and execute the customer and business requirements.

- You will define requirements across product, analytics, engineering, and native apps to craft a suite of data tools and projects such as data processing engines, data curation, and data visualisation.

- Define, communicate, and analyse success metrics for the data teams and engines.

Skills Required:

- Experience working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to translate discussions and ideas into viable solutions and products.

- Have good product sense, be good in handling numbers/metrics/identifying KPIs,

- Understand the nature of increasing velocities and varieties of data, data flows can be highly inconsistent with periodic peaks.

- Understand the multiple sources of data and assist the organisation to connect and correlate different enterprise data relationships

- Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and upper management

- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities

- Strong organisational and management skills, including the ability to manage and prioritise multiple competing initiatives

Qualifications

- 5-10 years- experience in a Product Management role.

- A minimum of 3 years of (recent) experience in the enterprise product domain with exposure to big data systems

- Exposure to data delivery systems - Real-Time APIs at scale

- Understanding of Big Data environments and technologies. Knowledge of SaaS business models and enabling technologies such as the AWS ecosystem.

- Experience leading an Agile product or engineering team.

- Client-facing product ownership experience is a plus, though not mandatory.

- Software Engineering experience at the start of the career is a plus, though not mandatory.
