Data Governance & Management Specialist - Consulting Firm - Contractual Role

Our client is a prominent Consulting firm in the MENA region and they are seeking a Data Governance and data management specialist for a contractual role which will convert to a full-time position after 3-6 months depending on the performance of the contracted candidate. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical project in their Financial Services - Risk Management practice. The successful candidate will work in a client-facing role, advising clients on Data related matters.

- This role is ideal for a candidate skilled in transforming data into actionable insights for a client in the Banking/Technology sector.

- The project aims to develop and implement robust data governance policies, ensuring data quality and compliance. This role is critical for managing risk data and is part of a larger initiative to enhance data management frameworks. The success of the project will be assessed based on the effective integration of data quality standards, adherence to governance policies, and the positive impact on risk processes and regulatory models.

What You Will Be Doing?

- Developing and implementing data governance and data management procedures.

- Conducting data audits and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues.

- Overseeing data integration and migration, ensuring secure and seamless data transfer.

- Delivering strategic data management and governance roadmaps.

- Supporting risk projects through the data Governance framework.

- Facilitating workshops and managing data management initiatives.

Your Background:

- 11 to 15 years of experience, preferably with leading consulting firms in FS Advisory.

Essential Skills: One or more of data visualisation tools like Informatica, Tableau, Power BI ,Google Data Studio.

- Programming languages like SQL, R, Python.

Preferred: Experience in any of DAMA DMBOK, CMMI, Metadata, Data Quality, and Data Lineage frameworks.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's in Statistics, MIS, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- Certifications like CFE, CPA, ACA, CAMS are advantageous.

- Previous experience of working with Consulting firms or financial institutions on similar projects is a must.

Other Important Information: This role starts as a contractual role but has a high probability of converting to a permanent position after a few months.
