Data Expert - Data Management - IT

Key Role Responsibilities

- Project planning, management and delivery of ETL and data architecture solutions using a combination of SAS and SQL tools

- Design, development, and implementation of systems, database and data architecture solutions

- Exploitation of industry best practices and your experience to create business solutions

- Design and build of ETL and data cleansing processes in line with RSA frameworks

- Design and implementation of required reports and dashboards

- Development and application of efficient and flexible code to undertake basic statistical analysis e.g. Data profiling, correlation and covariance analysis, etc.

- Participation in collaborative business analysis activities to gather required analytics, reporting and dashboard requirements

- Management, prioritisation, execution and delivery of multiple activities across a range of simultaneously running projects

- Utilisation of strong data skills to provide solutions for both technical and business related issues associated with the implementation business analytics solutions

Capabilities/Knowledge Required:

- Minimum of two (2) years experience working as a data analyst or in a related role

- Systems architecture design

- Proficiency in SAS base 9, MS Excel (VBA is a plus); SQL

- Proficiency in ETL and data warehouse principles and methodologies

- Proficiency in systems analysis & design

- Data Mart/Data Warehouse/ Star Schema/ Data Cubes design

Desirable skills:

- Primary degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related technical discipline (2.1 Honours minimum)

- Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels and of various disciplines

- Ability to build relationships internally

- Excellent oral/written communication, planning, project management, presentation and influencing skills

- Assist in project planning and task estimation

- Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
