Data Analytics & Sales Manager - Consulting Startup

Nextyn, a dynamic consulting startup, is expanding its capabilities by establishing a new division focused on data analytics. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Science Manager who will lead this division, driving client acquisition and sales while also overseeing data analytics and data science projects. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify data-driven opportunities and define project goals.

- Take charge of sales for the data analytics department, actively seeking new clients and nurturing existing relationships.

- Develop and implement data science strategies to support business objectives and drive decision-making processes.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data models, algorithms, and predictive models.

- Extract insights from complex data sets using statistical techniques and data mining methodologies.

- Develop and optimize machine learning models to solve business problems, such as customer segmentation, demand forecasting, and personalized recommendations.

- Interpret and communicate data-driven insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and processing.

Qualifications:

- At least 5 years of experience in a data science role, including hands-on experience in developing and implementing data-driven solutions.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of data scientists.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data analysis libraries and frameworks (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow).

- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques.

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business challenges into data science projects.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong business acumen and the ability to align data science strategies with overall business goals.
