Data Analyst - IT Product Development Firm

Relevant job experience and credentials :

- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience working in a technology organization

- Strong experience in data wrangling and analysis using R, Python or Julia

- Some experience in building statistical and machine learning models

- Experience in working with development teams, and not just in a pure - analysis and prototyping- mode

- Master's degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research or other mathematical field is preferred

- Familiarity with big data platforms such as Spark, Impala, MongoDB, etc. is a plus

- Familiarity with building Business Intelligence (BI) platforms is a plus

- Work experience and business knowledge in the travel domain, especially airlines, is a plus

Skills / Competencies :

- Strong Data Analysis and Visualization skills is mandatory

- Knowledge of Predictive Modelling techniques (mainly Regression and Classification) and Time Series Forecasting techniques is required

- Strong expertise in programming in R, Python or Julia is mandatory

- Good in programming in a conventional programming language such as Java or C++
