Main responsibilities :
- Identify & propose data elements to be designated as Critical Data Element (CDEs).
- Capture metadata for CDEs within the business process and ensure that it is stored in accordance to the CDO's Metadata Management Process.
- Map CDEs to appropriate processes, Data Domains, Data Concepts, and Data Sources and maintain accurate business process maps in line with UBFRA taxonomy. -
- Review business glossary with the Process Owner and publish it to enterprise Metadata Repository. -
- Serve as a trusted partner, collaborate and communicate frequently with Process Owner(s), Business Architects, Data Providers and Data Custodians. -
- Subject Matter Expert on CDMP, Metadata Standards and Metadata Management Process and knowledgeable with Data Quality, Issue Management & Resolution (IMR), End User Computing (EUC), and other data-related Citi policies and standards. -
- Active participation in lunch-n-learn sessions or related activities to promote 'data as an asset' and advocate for culture change to make the organization 'data savvy'.
Education & Qualifications :
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree is preferred, but not required.
- At least 5-10 years of combined experience in banking and financial services industry and data governance.
- Experience includes managing / leading data and data quality initiatives, aligning business processes with data, implementing technology solutions, developing or supporting standards / policies and data-related issue management and remediation efforts.
- Experience with data management processes and tools and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets (e.g. Collibra).
- Working knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modeling, SQL and Agile methodology.
Analytical Skills :
- Data analysis and visualization
- Proficient in formulating analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
- Generate actionable Business Insights.
Tools and Platforms :
- Proficient in SAS
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and VBA
- Preferred - Collibra, Solidatus, Compass
Domain Skills:
- Good understanding of - Data definitions and data discovery
- Data quality framework
- Data Governance including identification of critical data elements, measuring and monitoring of CDE's
- Process improvement experience pertains to compliance and data quality initiatives - Hands on experience on KPI's design, issue resolution and remediation activities - Identification of control gaps and providing recommendations as per data strategy - Measuring effectiveness of different DQ roll out programs
- (Preferred) - Knowledge of Finance Regulations, Understanding or Retail Business

- Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form.
- Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills - Good process/project management skills
- Ability to work well across multiple functional areas

- Supported initiatives within a line of business and across the enterprise and familiar with processes and functions such as Account Opening, Collections, etc.
- Active team player i.e. one who contributes with ideas and solves problems, takes accountability, delivers on time and completes quality deliverables that adhere to standards and have depth.
- Good presentation skills, business and technical writing, and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting the business environment.
- Regularly provided timely status updates to management.
- Willingness to pitch-in with other team members. Entrepreneurial spirit to identify problems or challenges and solve them.
