Creating and maintaining a strong, effective pipeline of communications effort is therefore of utmost importance. Job Summary :&nbsp; The Associate will provide specialized support in driving Dasra's narrative building efforts in the fields of urban sanitation and adolescents. S/he be directly involved in the development and implementation of campaign plans and communication strategies under the instruction of the Manager driving respective initiatives. The Associate will also work with external stakeholders to further Dasra's campaign and communications goals. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: :&nbsp; 1. Delivery Support: Provide support with respect to delivering campaigns and communications strategies aligned with the field goals and objectives. 2. Research: Stay abreast of issues. Conduct research and investigations to understand latest happenings in the fields as well as in the domain of communications for impact to be able to create effective strategies. Research and analyze a wide range of specialized material on campaign issues and strategies. May be required to do media work. 3. Creative Strategy: Contribute towards building creative strategies required to deliver on project outcomes. 4. Stakeholder Management: Maintain active liaison with key stakeholders in specific campaign issue(s). 5. Project Management Support: Support with creating project reports and proposals as well as monitor budgets and grants with all stakeholders. 6. Others: Other duties as assigned by the Manager. REQUIRED QUALITIES AND SKILLS: - At least 3 years of working experience in related fields; - Strong strategic, research and analytical abilities; - Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget; - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; - Commitment to, and demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team; - Ability to work unsupervised, in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment; - Ability to function effectively under public scrutiny; KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 1. Knowledge of the overall goals and intent of Dasra activities to support its programs. 2. Organizational, administrative and budget management: to plan, organize and coordinate program activities; to address constant and varied demands on the position. 3. Knowledge of Dasra's program issues in general and expertise in issues related to one's area of responsibility. Solid understanding and analysis of political, economic and social processes and trends. Understanding of how to influence public and private institutions the local, national and international stage, including how they interact and influence each other. 4. Knowledge of the media to increase awareness and gain public support to further campaign objectives. Use of the media to maximize campaign exposure but also be able to anticipate and counteract negative backlash campaigns. 5. Knowledge of campaign techniques, strategies and practices. Understanding of the tactics and counter campaigns. 6. Public relations: to function effectively within a highly charged atmosphere, under public scrutiny and backlash.
