Dantech Digital is a multi-national, custom-medical device manufacturing startup company operating in the dental space. Its Head Office is in Chennai and it is soon opening branch offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. It has a US office in Denver, CO and will soon open one in London, UK. The company is 1 year old but the promoters have a legacy in the dental industry dating back to 1962. The company is backed by marquee investors and looking to expand aggressively.
Job Description & Responsibilities :
Objectives of this role:
- Collaborate with CEO and CTO in setting and driving organisations global vision, operations strategy and hiring levels
- Translate strategy into actionable steps to ensure that rapid business growth can be sustained
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building on corporate culture
- Ensure robust governance company-wide and adhere to high global standards
Responsibilities:
- Analyse internal operations and identify areas for process improvement
- Build and establish systems for to help achieve short- and long-term vision
- Oversee all manufacturing, logistics, HR and work with finance on budgeting to achieve goals. Hire for key managerial roles. Set, manage and monitor KPIs for key managers
- Assist in designing and implementing software systems to manage the business, logistics, sales team movements, quality control and traceability of materials etc
- Implement key management and production related improvements Kaizen, TQM, JIT, CPI
- Manage all required certifications including ISO-13485 and DAMAS. Ensure regulatory compliance for all domestic and foreign markets including adherence and recognition with US FDA, GDC, CDSCO etc
- Oversee development of training module to train non-dental staff in all dental prosthetic related products within 2 weeks and training for dental technicians within 3 months
- Build processes to ensure that the company is in a position to scale and ensure quality management and execution can keep up with aggressive growth in sales
- Assist sales team in building robust reporting mechanisms and with relevant field support
- Assist finance team in planning and budgeting "
Desired Profile of the Candidate:
- Demonstrated ability in implementing company strategies into daily operations to meet objectives of their previous company or companies.
- Background in manufacturing or healthcare / medical devices / pharmaceutical industry is important
- Experience in a leadership role of a high-growth company is required
- Education from an IIT/IIM/ISB or marquee business school is considered favourably
- Experience managing multiple acquisitions and global exposure is a bonus"
