Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) commenced its operations in June, 2008 as a transparent, neutral and automated platform for facilitating physical delivery of electricity. IEX operates under the regulatory oversight of CERC (Central Electricity Regulatory Commission) and provides a platform for competitive price discovery of electricity.

The objective behind setting up the exchange was to provide a competitive platform that ensures robust and fair price discovery, absolves its participant's counter party risk and reduces cost of transactions. The state-of-the-art technology adopted by IEX allows e-bidding to participants while ensuring them full anonymity. The process of financial settlement and delivery is automated through special banking system. The price discovery mechanism determines equilibrium price at which demand and supply meet for all the buyers and sellers and a common national price is arrived at.

Today, there are over 6000 participants registered with IEX including 400+ conventional generators, distribution companies of all the States and Union Territories and over 4000+ industrial consumers and 1500+ renewable participants.

On an average over 5000 MW is traded daily through the Exchange platform. Power traded at IEX constitutes 45% of the total power traded under the short term market route. In addition to Power, IEX also enables trading of RECs (Renewable Energy Certificates) and Energy Saving Certificates (ESCerts).

Responsibility

- Understanding customer needs and consumer behavior through research, customer feedback analysis, click stream analysis, and direct interactions with customers.

- Understanding business problems and define technical solution to the problem

- Understanding of product development life cycle

- Defining and analyzing product metrics regularly, and use the learning for product innovations and improvements.

- Conducting regular competition analysis and recommending plan of action - should master the details of competitive landscape.

- Working closely with Engineering, Research, Quality Assurance, Design and Marketing teams to create synergies leading to a high quality product.

- Creating product specifications documents and conducting product specification reviews with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Design & others.

- Ensuring timely delivery of projects through proper planning, scheduling and execution

Education

B.E. / B.Tech from any engineering college with MBA from top B school(preferred)

Experience

- Exposure to consumer digital products is mandatory - preferably in managing consumer websites

- 10+ years of good working experience with pedigree, with atleast 4-5 years in managing Digital products

Salary - As per industry standards
