Reports To: Associate Director Human Resources
Location: CIEE Headquarters, Portland, Maine/Boston/or remote from any location in the USA (Remotlely)
Summary of Position :
The Talent Acquisition Specialist works closely with the Associate Director Human Resources (ADHR) to support the hiring goals and diversity initiatives of the organization. This position assists with identification of potential candidates, phone screening, and placement of candidates for employment. The Specialist will support the recruiting strategy, methodology, and processes, so they are aligned with the company's talent strategy and desired employee capabilities/skills. The ideal candidate will also possess a broad HR generalist knowledge.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support the ADHR in developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies to increase workforce diversity and decrease recruitment expenditure.
- Post current employment opportunities on appropriate job boards
- Evaluate applicant credentials to determine competencies related to position's description
- Conduct phone screens on candidates identified by hiring managers
- Manage website postings
- Schedule interviews for selected candidates; facilitate travel, accommodations when applicable
- Process expense reports for candidates
- Assist Associate Director in writing job descriptions to ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws
- Assist Associate Director with special projects
- Assist HR team where needed in other areas/projects
- Perform searches for qualified candidates using computer database, networking, internet recruiting resources, media and employee referrals
- Maintain recruiting databases
Other duties as assigned:
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of full cycle recruiting/staffing experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity to various job boards pertinent to positions
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-talk and good attention to detail
- Knowledge of recruiting and employment practices
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Must have strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Due to federal regulations a background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
