CFO for a leading Pulp and Paper Company

Job Title/Designation: CFO

Base Location: Remote

Industry: Pulp and Paper

Qualification: Chartered Accountant

Position Summary:

Lead the overall finance functions and provide strategic advice to the Board and members of the Executive management team for taking key decisions regarding Finance, Budgeting, Cashflow, Accounting, Production Costing, Fundraising and Business intelligence. The Company requires a strong and seasoned professional with experience in ERP such as Oracle, SAP, etc.

Key Areas Of Responsibilities

- Accounting: Have an oversight on the accounting function. Providing detailed performance review to the Board

- Financial Reporting: Develop and build the FPA function for budgeting, financial reporting and in-depth analysis. As a CFO, the candidate will be required to work closely with the management with respect to various operating financials, cost calculations, budgets and inputs from a commercial point of view.

- Cashflow: To have an oversight on the cash flow of the business, keeping a track on receivables and efficiently managing the cash flow to ensure smooth running of the business.

- Costing: Identifying areas where costs can be managed well and margins can be increased in the topline.

- Banking & Negotiation: Must have proven experience in managing banking relations and negotiations with various banks and financial institutions.

- Fund Raising: To work closely with the CEO and the core team, to raise debt from various banks, NBFCs, etc. Must have Lender management experience.

- Funds Management: To have an oversight and be closely involved with respect to planning and managing the cash flows of the business. To supervise overdue receivables and take required steps to collect those.

- Systems and Processes : Need to lead and improvise various systems and processes, with a view to strengthening those in line with global direction.

- Team Building: Be a team player, and to continuously work towards developing skills of all the team members with a view to increasing productivity on a continuous basis.

Experience:

- Experienced CFO with at least 15 years of experience in Finance & Accounting and 5 years in a leadership role

- Exposure of Oracle/ SAP Financials (ERP)

- Strategic mindset and exposure to analytical decision making processes.

- Must be proficient in setting up MIS of monitoring conversion costs, production, raw material cost ratios in detail

- Must be well versed with reporting of ratios and parameters unique to this industry

- Should have worked closely with the business and finance teams to set up a customer profitability system

- Must be well versed with product costing and related analysis
