Cyber (IT) Security Research Associate Manager

JOB SUMMARY

- We are opening a new position for a Cyber (IT) Security Specialist/Associate Manager in India to help shape and deliver security research and thought leadership agenda.

- We are looking for someone who has a comprehensive skill set, an individual with a broad set of skills to investigate a constantly-changing landscape. The individual should ideally have knowledge of both Cyber Security and Technology, or at the least a good understanding of Cyber Security with strong Technology background. It is preferred if the individual has knowledge of two or more core security segments and a strong interest in others, for example:

Application Security

Infrastructure Security

Identity and Access Management

Data Protection

Threat intelligence

Incident Response

Forensics

IoT Security

Cloud Security

Mobile Security

Compliance/Risk

Managed Security

- The individual will provide research activities in support of the security research program the team is responsible for delivering. The individual will develop an understanding of major segment trends, market size and competitors. The individual will help source and analyze data; conduct literature reviews and synthesize secondary research; draft reports and presentations of findings; and support the dissemination of research findings. The role requires strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

- This role is in our Bangalore-based organisation Research India team, which is a team of 60+ researchers covering all our industries and business lines globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (BULLETS)

Research experience in Cyber security, infrastructure, data protection, cloud, forensic ( secondary and business research is mandatory)

Supporting senior researchers at all stages of a project:

- Scope and define project requirements, as well as set customer expectations for deliverables.

- Assemble data from multiple sources, and conduct high-quality analysis with a significant degree of autonomy.

- Create high-quality PowerPoint slides and briefing material for speeches and presentations by the organization's leadership.

- Support the transfer of thought leadership and research capabilities within immediate team and identify opportunities for skills building.

- Developing own set of expertise and embracing innovation in our research methods

- Develop own - brand- as a highly skilled researcher on issues relevant to organization's business agenda and strategy.

- Develop own network of contacts internally and externally to raise personal as well as organization's Research visibility.

- Be an Innovation Agent by embrace innovation and transfer it to company's Research methods and culture.

- Working with Consulting teams and presenting research findings internally and externally

- Present findings of your work and/or be ready to answer specific questions as part of client's conversation.

- Work together with client teams to develop research findings at business development stages as well as client proposals or engagements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Preferably Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or Economics

- A full-time post-graduate degree/qualification MBA/PGDM is a must.

- Need to be fluent in business English (spoken and written)

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Preferably Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or

Economics.

- A full-time post-graduate degree/qualification MBA/PGDM is a must.

- Minimum of 6+ (max 10 years) of business research experience in the IT services/Cyber security topic, preferably in a consulting environment, IT services/products industry research/analyst, IT services/products Industry-related organization, IT Security company or demonstrated equivalent skill.

- Awareness of specific cyber/IT security topics in IT services industry.

- Work experience collaborating in a team of research professionals, coaching of team members would be a plus.

- Working with senior executive customers, who are the high end users of the research output.

- Experience of writing reports, and presentation slides for delivery to internal and external audience

- Experience with alternative modes of research delivery/data visualization tools also a plus (e.g., Tableau etc.)
