Responsibilities:
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping on-premises and cloud infrastructure secure from a wide variety of threats and implementing, amending, and testing our adherence to Cyber security framework. Our environments include a variety of networks, software, hardware, and protocols. You will participate in the design, commissioning deployment, and operation process of security-focused infrastructure within the required cyber security framework.
- Design and implement security procedures for our technology infrastructure and software.
- Develop site specific device inventory and conduct security reviews relevant to the cyber security framework and security policies.
- Collaborate with IT department personnel, technology vendors, 3rd party partners and appropriate governmental agencies to perform root cause analysis of security incidents or events.
- Perform threat modeling, coordinate security testing and integrate the necessary tools in the data center environment. Implement security controls based on the applicable guidelines from NIS, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001 and other reliable sources.
- Manage testing and evaluation of adherence to cyber security framework standards, and annual cyber incident response drill.
- Collaborate with data services, IT compliance, software development and engineering teams to monitor and remediate security weaknesses.
- Assist with security compliance audits across the company.
- Support a culture of security-conscious team members.
- Develop security metrics to measure and report the effectiveness of security programs.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
- Identifying threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software
- Developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware, ransomware, and other cybercrime
- Performing technical security assessments, design reviews, and code audits
- Conducting research to identify attack vectors against the company
- Developing systems to prevent infrastructure and data security risks
- Building and maintaining firewalls
- Establishing cybersecurity best practices
- Responding to security breaches
- Communicating security findings to managerial-level executives
- Formulating security processes and protocols
- Troubleshooting all network and security issues and incidents
Specialized job competencies:
- Experience in any NIST, CIS, COBIT, Nessus, BigFix, Information security program frameworks.
- Experience with Cisco Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Office 365 Security, VSX, and Endpoint Security.
- Experience with Endpoint security such as anti-virus, anti-malware and privileged access management solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
- Proven experience in navigating fast-moving, hyper-growth initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related qualification
- 3-5 years' experience in IT / Cybersecurity
