Cvent - Manager - Analytics

Business Analytics:

This position is responsible for helping Cvent business leaders make better, timely, and insightful business decisions through use of data and analytics. These decisions cross all functions of the business, including sales, marketing, client services, and technology.

Candidate Requirement:

- Be a team player in the Business Analytics domain

- Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Client Services & other business functions with focus on sales & marketing

- Come-up with data driven strategies for business to increase topline through initiatives such as cross-sell/upsell campaigns, new business leads acceleration & conversion improvements through lead scoring & pipeline creation & forecasting

- Support sales & other support functions track operational KPIs and improve productivity & efficiency

- Work with sales, marketing & client services for analytics based customer retention & growth strategies

- Work with marketing to implement & measure campaign RoI

- Should be able to independently work with business for requirement elicitation, documentation, project planning & implementation

- In depth knowledge of core business processes such as sales & marketing of a SaaS company

- Hands on with SQL coding, Tableau and Excel

- Comfortable with owning multiple work products simultaneously and coding, while coaching team members with their work products

- Hands on experience with Python & Snowflake is an added advantage

- In depth working knowledge of Tableau reporting

- Ability to write SQL Procedures using complex queries

- Scheduling and maintenance of SQL Procedures

- Ability to identify the best chart types to represent the kind of data at hand. Be able to understand how best to represent various data forms, e.g. text, numbers, ranges, images utilizing various visualization charts e.g. box charts, histograms, word cloud, bubble chart, heat maps, tree maps, waterfall etc.

- Expert at bringing data from different data sources into the visualization tool e.g. flat files, internet, database connections, etc.

- Expert knowledge of Tableau scripting, complex calculations, calculated fields, applying cascading filters, grouping, using multiple axis, using parameters, joining, blending, applying top / bottom filters, include/exclude functions

- Ability to publish workbooks on tableau server and understand user management providing different rights to different types of users

- Attention to detail in making sure the quality of visualization created is client presentable

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills - working with teams internally and externally with clients

- Ability to weave a story with data - What is the objective behind the visualization? What does the analysis reveal? What are the different ways the data should be looked at to infer insights?

- Excellent written and oral communication skills with English language

- Good data analytical skills

- QA / QC of daily reports & Tableau dashboard: Analyze & reconcile working data from different sources to identify & root cause variances

- Follow-up with stake holders for issues identified in data reconciliations

- Pro-actively perform routine data checks

- Maintain daily log of errors in SQL Jobs / SQL procedures & Tableau dashboards. Ensure all are refreshed on daily basis

- Create documentation around for SQL Procs and Tableau dashboards

- Collaborate & be a team player
