Cvent - Assistant Team Lead - Pricing Analysis

Job brief

We are looking for a passionate Pricing Analyst for our high performing Pricing Analytics team. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
 
Job Duties and responsibilities :

- Pricing is a critical sub-function within the PMO division which is responsible for maintaining Price discipline, work on Strategic projects & Price newly launched products.

- Key responsibilities include designing & managing innovative Price performance tracking tools, managing support for Strategic Pricing projects, tracking International pricing performance & defining opportunities based on market and TAM penetration.

Other responsibilities:

- Creating price performance trackers to analyze performance of sales teams / reps / manager

- Supporting analysis for pricing of new product launches / re-pricing efforts

- Quantify opportunities and provide recommendations for performance improvements

- Leverage Salesforce data to develop advanced analytics

- Create new dashboards/reports to track against set Pricing goals

Requirements

This is a techno-functional role which will require Tableau/SQL/Advanced Excel modelling skillsets. It will also require the person to have a good Business acumen to make data driven recommendations and be able to learn the Cvent business fast by working in a fast paced & dynamic environment.

- Proven working experience as a Business analyst working on complex data sets

- Should have a knack for deciphering large & complex data sets, derive meaningful information out of it & present it in a coherent structure

- Capability to clearly understand and articulate a complex & sometimes abstract business problem and multi-task across multiple projects with required support

- Strong knowledge and complete hands-on experience with SQL & Tableau

- High level of comfort in Advanced Excel modelling

- Working knowledge of R / Python / Salesforce is a plus

- Preferably someone who comes from a Saas industry with a B2B Pricing experience

Qualifications

- 4-5 years of relevant experience (Indicative)

- BTech or Graduation in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or Statistics

- Demonstrated strong working experience with Advanced Excel, SQL and Tableau. Hands-on working experience with R/Python is a plus

- Saas Industry experience is highly desirable

- Technology Consulting background or MBA is desirable

- Pricing analytics experience in a B2B environment is desirable

- Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

- Excellent written / oral communication skills
