Job Description

- Site based position

- Carry out feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labor costs

- Prepare preliminary project budget & final project budget

- Acquire approval on project budget and provide cost forecast

- Review the project budget and do the value engineering for meeting the desired budget figures.

- Monitor each stage of the project to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts

- Preparation/Compilation of Tender Documents including Bill of Quantities

- Bid Evaluation, Recommendation and Reporting

- Negotiate and draw up bids for tenders and contracts

- Checking of certified bills by billing engineer and bill certification.

- Financial closeout of project.

- Provide financial progress report to clients

- Advise clients on contractual matters

- Contracts Management like change order, Extra items review and certification.

- Assisting and reporting to Project Manager, Contracts and Billing experience of the projects like i.e. Campus Development, IT Park, Shopping Mall, Commercial Building, Institutional Buildings. Etc.

Desired Profile

- Degree in Civil Engg with minimum 6 years of experience

- Specific experience in QS and in a similar role / designation for a large project

- Knowledge of IS codes for measurement

- PG Diploma in QS will be preferred

Experience - 6-8 years

- Has good knowledge of Budget handling skills

- Knowledgeable in Cost Control & Cost Estimate

- Can understand drawings/specifications

- Knowledgeable in Architectural/MEPF works including market prices

- Has methodical approach to work

- Good organizational skills

- Has clear understanding of Building Regulations

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Excellent command in English

- Computer Skills/Proficient in MS Office Tools

- Strong personality
