Vendor - specific objective evidence (VSOE)  LOCATION: Bangalore  Experience: 6-8 yrs   In accounting practices, vendor-specific objective evidence (VSOE) is a method of revenue recognition allowed by US GAAP that enables companies to recognize revenue on specific items on a multi-item sale based on evidence specific to a company that the product has been delivered.  VSOE revenue recognition is commonly used by companies that sell software products and services in multiple-element bundles. VSOE focuses on the fair market value of an item sold individually, as opposed to the assigned sales value of the item sold as part of a multiple-element bundle. You can use the VSOE feature to determine VSOE prices of items and defer the recognition of this revenue.  Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis of the unit / function / region on periodical basis, by working with leadership teams to accurately define assumptions and key drivers for business per process  Investigate, review, analyse and publish the standard and adhoc reports, including profit and loss accounts, dash boards and review decks, as required by business, on the financial performance periodically on weekly / monthly basis, along with the details of reasons for the key variances to forecast and plans, trends, observations and suggestions, as applicable.  Developing, finalizing with managers and uploading the monthly forecast into finance systems every month  Develop, publish new reports and review packs as required by business, from time to time.  Contribute for the cash flow projections and related analysis and reports  Review, manage, maintain and work on PL related allocations and entries periodically  Participate and contribute to the corporate initiatives and projects as required  Identify and contribute to the process improvement opportunities and related documentations  - Handling $950 Million Revenue Accounting (Loss deals, FMV transfer, VSOE, ESP, Priming, Blind Discounts, Rebates, Residual, Ratable) for INDIA & SAARC AREA (India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Maldives)  - Assessing revenue recognition of complex deals involving Products, Product Subscriptions, Professional Services, Maintenance Services and Learning Credits  - Closely working with Sales, Business Finance, Legal and Customer Support teams on Deferrals, Accruals, Transfers and Releases of Revenue based on US GAAP Revenue Recognition Criteria.  - Posting adjustment JVs in Corporate General Ledgers and reconciliation of GL Accounts  - Closely working with INDIA & SAARC CFO providing revenue and COGS forecast to WW FP&A team  Leading APJC level projects to drive efficiency and operational excellence.  - Preparing, reporting & analyzing monthly Profitability Reports for the units and review of reports with Management/ Unit Head Collate and prepare the unit wise revenue, SOW expenses and GM target and monthly forecast.   - Monitor the regular expenses and enforce budget control on those operating expenses  - Assist the delivery team with project pricing through financial evaluations of specific proposals  - Collating data and preparation of the annual business plan for individual BU/SPUs  - Improve and establish better process and control to provide reliable and accurate data. Providing necessary input to configure accounting ERP for changing business requirement.  - Analysis of customer contract to determine revenue recognition method as per US GAPP for SaaS, License and Services revenue by establish VSOE and ESP as per US GAAP.   - Responsible for calculation of unbilled revenue accrual for ongoing projects and contract accounting.  - Assist in FAS 86 working and capitalization of internally developed software  - Responsible for discussion and finalization of third party license pricing for resell and monitor purchase of third party software tool .  - Audit Coordination related to revenue recognition during consolidation for ArisGlobal Entities.  - Hand on experience on BPC reporting tool. Involved during requirement gathering and implementation of BPC.
