Summary:  - The technical communications manager will be the main technical expert on the Client’s Internal Communication team.   - They will be the team’s link into the Group communication services team and be the Client’s POC for the communications channel strategy.   - The role holder will actively bring creative suggestions to the team and deliver Client’s internal communications in a fresh and innovative way. They will be the Client’s Internal Communication team’s intranet expert and be responsible for the creation and maintenance of all intranet pages owned by the Client’s Internal Communication team.   - They will also be the Client’s Internal Communication team’s social media expert, with a detailed understanding of the role social media plays in client’s internal communications and drive activities to increase usage.   - They will also have the ability to project manage any large technical change programmes that may come up in the future.  Responsibilities:  Is the point of contact for the all internal global communications channel strategy:  - Maintains a close relationship with Group’s communication services team, especially the channels and eCRS teams, to ensure they are used to maximum advantage by the Client’s Internal Communication team   - Keeps the Client’s Internal Communication team regularly updated on the client wide communication channel strategy changes, providing feedback to the Group team  Works with the Client’s Internal Communication team to deliver creative and innovative communications:  - Designs and creates innovative templates for Client’s internal communications. The team’s expert on PowerPoint.  - Understands how technology can be used to improve the effectiveness of client’s communications and actively uses it for Client’s internal communications  - Works with the Internal Communication leads to use new communication tools/channels for Client’s internal communications  Works with the editorial and analysis manager on measurement and analysis of Client’s internal communications data:  - Manipulates data, spreadsheets and graphs as required and presents it in a simple format. Information could be sorted and analysed at different levels of OUC, by business unit, by LoB, etc. This will include graphs and information to be fed into the Internal Communication dashboard.  - Provides the internal Communication leads with their own business unit level information on a monthly basis, for example Newswire readership scores.   - Provides editorial and analysis manager with high-level analysis/reasoning, along with recommendations to drive the right changes and determine the main focus areas for the Internal Communication team.  Is the Client’s Internal Communication team’s intranet expert:  - Maintains the client’s homepage, Client’s LT-level pages and specified pages of importance, with regular reviews to ensure content is relevant and up to date  - Creates and maintains any additional pages required by the Client’s LT, VPs or major change programmes where the communications champions are not able to do  - Presents information on these pages in creative and innovative ways  - Provides intranet consultancy as needed  Is the Client’ Internal Communication team’s social media expert:  - Has a detailed understanding of the social media tools available to Client and stays up to date on all the latest social media developments   - Creates and implements a plan to increase the use of social media in Client’s internal communications  - Responsible for all Client’s global internal communications via social media, working closely with the Internal Communication leads to plan and publish via social media  - Responsible for any blog support provided by the Internal Communication team  - Provides regular training to the Internal Communication team on social media tools and how they could be used in business unit level internal communications  - Provides social media consultancy as needed
