- Job title : Lead Analyst - Credit Risk - Location: Pune / Mumbai / Gurgaon - Experience required: 7+ years- of experience in credit risk assessment of global financial institutions OR corporate entities Job Duties: - The role entails supporting credit risk management teams of global banks in counterparty credit risk assessment of financial institutions OR corporates - The expectation from the candidate would be engage with clients, prepare &amp; review credit reviews on corporate / FI counterparties and assign credit ratings - Should be able to draft/review high-quality credit reports by drawing upon linkages between macro factors, regulations, and industry-specific nuances to formulate a credit view - Should be able to defend his / her views on the counterparty / covered entity when challenged by senior stakeholders and clients - Should possess good working knowledge of credit risk value chain, bank's credit risk systems and OCC / FRB regulatory requirements on credit risk management framework. - Prior experience in building / validating credit rating models (PD/LGD) preferred - The role may also require training and mentoring junior colleagues on specific aspects of credit risk, sector and domain nuances. Skills Required: - 7+ years of experience in counterparty credit risk assessment - Strong understanding of core finance concepts - Prior experience in fundamental analysis of financial institutions / corporate sector is mandatory. An understanding of credit risk model development/ validation approach and regulatory ask on credit risk management systems is preferred. - Excellent report writing and communication skills - Ability to communicate analytical thoughts in a crisp, concise and precise manner - Should be able to independently assess counterparties without relying on readily available research - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to participate/contribute as a team player. Should be willing to put in the extra hours when tight deadlines need to be met - Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment that may entail multi-tasking Qualification: CA / MBA Finance / CFA / FRM
