Role :
- Support in analyzing the performance of a portfolio of structured finance transactions, and in responding to credit events
- Model and regularly maintain structured finance deals (RMBS, ABS, CMBS, etc.); mainly cash flow analysis, including complex deals
- Prepare credit research reports and notes; also providing support on the publishable industry reports
- In-depth understanding of transaction documents such as Offering Circular, Indenture, Swap Agreement, etc. to understand the structure and features of the deals
- Model maintenance which involves regular testing and validation of models based on the most recent reports, statements published by issuers, servicers, understanding payment structures and revising the model to be in sync with expected outcome
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the structured finance market and understand / be able to comment on their potential impact
- Create and maintain base level training, process manuals and documentation to ensure smooth execution of tasks
Candidate Profile :
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Sound understanding of the RMBS/ABS/CMBS/CDO space with experience in deal financial modeling/ surveillance/ portfolio monitoring and credit analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent working skills on Excel
- 6-10 years of experience in structured finance with banks or rating agencies or KPOs
- Ability to perform under stringent timelines
- Ability to take ownership and execute tasks independently
Position Responsibilities :
- Project management and set expectations with clients regarding scope of work, timelines, etc. for routine tasks
- Build and maintain relationships with clients
- Update senior management and client with timely MIS reporting
- Adding analytical inputs when required
