Ratings Controls team This is essentially a business or internal controls function requiring a compliance mindset. Any certifications or training may be useful but is not a prerequisite. Experience in a similar role will be preferred. Key responsibilities include (i) Implementing, monitoring and reporting on internal policy and controls, including for ratings industry related regulations. (ii) Interfacing with internal auditors / inspection team (iii) Regulatory affairs / communication and disclosures Roles and responsibilities in detail A. Ratings Controls team : - Planning and implementing the Controls and Policies for CRISIL Ratings - Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of regulations (including changes thereto) relating to Ratings industry and policies, processes and systems of CRISIL Ratings - Monitor and drive compliance of policies on regulations, data confidentiality etc, report any breaches to Rating management; Analyse and recommend changes to strengthen processes and policies further - Prepare various disclosures, reports, data submissions with high attention to detail and integrity of information as required by regulations or as requested by regulators / other authorities - Interface with internal auditors and inspection team, ratings management, ratings team members and other stakeholders as required - Support regulatory communication / interface backed by strong communication skills - Benchmarking and comparison of best practices on disclosures, policies etc across CRAs - Provide inputs from risk perspective, especially regulatory, reputation and business risk, to Ratings management where required - Independently work and deliver ad hoc project tasks as and when required B. Talent development : This is a team leading role, with reporting by 2-3 Associate Directors and skip level reporting from their team members. - Manage team in a formal team structure (approximately 10-12 people) with a strong focus on talent management and ensuring quality of their work, by providing day-to-day guidance and leadership to team members - Maintain high performance standards, high quality and integrity of data, processes, systems and policies. - Effective staffing (Identifying, hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining talent). - Effectively apply understanding of business and regulations in dealing with all levels of team members, other members of Ratings team, Ratings management and regulators to ensure the highest level of service is provided to relevant stakeholders.
