CRM Analytics

The role will work in the CRM – Marketing team, which focuses on putting data at the heart of Consumer. The CRM team are responsible for outbound marketing data campaigns, modelling and data mining and inbound focused CRM Decisioning tool

In this role, the successful candidate will:-

- Have a restless curiosity and perpetually looking for new initiatives which may lead to future opportunities. Proactively develop a suite of Decisioning analytics to identify significant trends, changes in behaviour or other key indicators which will deliver real business value and improve customer retention across Consumer as a whole.

- Ensure that complex logic managing customer value, customer retention and product sales mix is grounded in deep analysis. Optimise performance of Decisioning recommendations.

- Ability to translate complex data patterns into layman language and sell in customer insights, findings and proposed rules changes to a wider business audience, using good presentation and communication skills. Work collaboratively with senior representatives from Commercial, Loyalty Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Sales Transformation and Sales.

- Work with CRM Data modelling teams to ensure learnings from Decisioning are fed back into propensity models (for retention, acquisition) to improve outbound campaign targeting.

- Be responsible for creating and owning comprehensive set of Management Information reports; circulate to a wide team of key stakeholders, educate them on relevant insights and propose any follow-up activity required. Work with large datasets and investigations/analysis directly off the customer database

- Become an expert on Decisioning Business Rules & their development in the context of Decisioning .Advise & direct those stakeholders needing help in creating the appropriate structure around business rules which also include impact assessments, modelling/ simulations of business rules etc

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Successful candidate will be a highly analytical, flexible team player, who is able to work under pressure and be able understand the complexities of a large organisation. Candidate should also demonstrate:

- Degree in maths/ statistics/ engineering/ operational research or similar numerate discipline, with a minimum of 5 years relevant working in a marketing analytical team.

- Detailed knowledge and experience of manipulating large data sets in SQL or SAS and some experience of modelling is an advantage, skilled in using Excel and other MS Office tools

- Sound financial and commercial acumen, project/programme management of complex projects, and the ability to multi-task and adapt, delivering to tight timescales.

- Demonstrable and proven interpersonal skills (communication, relationship, leadership, influencing, direction setting, delegation, motivation, negotiation). Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to engage with senior managers.

- Robust problem solving and innovation skills, with excellent attention to detail but combined with good time management skills.

- Well documented experience of monitoring and delivering improvements in campaign strategy and performance over a period of time, working alongside business managers, both independently and as part of a team.
