CRISIL - Credit Research Role - Corporate Sector - Energy & Utilities Sector

Role:

- The role involves supporting a US based Buy side client in initiating and maintaining coverage of IG US corporates across sectors

- The analyst would provide essential support to the client by undertaking the following activities independently:

- Creating/maintaining extensive credit models with forecasts and valuations based on multiple techniques

- Building detailed capital structures

- Writing crisp and analytical credit reports for the companies under coverage

- The role requires regular surveillance of the assigned portfolio by proactively tracking the company events (including quarterly earnings, regulatory updates), peer group and other industry information sources

- The analyst may be required to present his research to internal stakeholders during meetings over conference calls

- Support the client with any other ad-hoc research requests. Engage with client teams proactively and suggest new ideas to enhance client engagement

- The candidate should have the ability to generate trade ideas and prepare opinion based credit research reports

Skills Required:

- Prior experience of IG credit research, preferably covered Energy or Utilities

- Strong credit modelling skills and an analytical bent of mind

- Good communication skills, written and verbal

- Attention to detail

- Should have working knowledge of Bloomberg and other databases like SNL/Capital IQ

- Should be capable of multi-tasking and handling projects with tight deadlines

- Flexibility to work on multiple time-zones, in-line with client requirements
