Job Description: - Identify, develop and implement appropriate statistical and machine learning algorithms and techniques as well as perform data mining analysis to create new scoring model based on data collected from various social, financial and other digital media. - Ability to carry out demographic/behavioral/value based segmentation of customers using algorithms like k-means, hierarchical, etc.: Essential - Innovate new modelling and machine learning approaches to provide online real-time experience - Ability to profile customer segments on relevant dimensions and carry out deep-dive analysis Essential : - Ability to build models (Logistic regression/Time series): Desirable - Ability to use CART/CHAID technique to solve classification problems Desirable : - Ability to work with various forms of structured, semi-structured, unformatted and unstructured data sources - Ability to think out of the box and come up with innovative and data driven approaches to create differentiated offerings for customer segments Academic Background: - Background in Statistics, Mathematics, Management or in any related quantitative fields from top institutes Work Experience: - Experience in Delivering Customer Insights. Experience in Banking and Financial Services /Retail Telecom/ Credit Bureau preferable Technical Proficiency: - Proficiency in R or Python for data analytics and model building - Exposure to SQL and various databases - Working experience in Excel - Working experience with versioning systems like GIT - Familiarity with Shiny or relevant dashboard tools Enablers: - Gathering Information: Ability to gather relevant information from various sources - Understanding Issues: Ability to understand key issues and challenges - Finding Solutions: Finding the best possible solution leveraging the information gathered and after a thorough understanding of issues and challenges - Thinking out of the box: Adopting new and innovative approaches to create data driven differentiation in rapidly growing market segments - Achieving excellence: Build excellent processes for managing data and models - Communicating: Communicating effectively within the team and various stakeholders (both verbal and written) - Collaborating for Success The job is based in Chennai and will report to the Head of Data Science and Analytics of the company.
