Role Summary :

- Lead and execute high volume commercial sourcing and non-catalogue requisition transactions

- Partner with respective Sourcing Category colleagues and CS departments to execute transactional sourcing efforts

- Align to global sourcing category strategies when executing sourcing transactions

We are recruiting an experienced source who will have responsibility for commercial and sourcing aspects as well as regional team management for technology categories including: IT Outsourcing and IT Consulting, Data Center Products & Services, Software

Responsibilities :

- Primary category focus on IT Outsourcing and IT Consulting; Data Center Products & Services; Software with potential to support other sourcing categories

- Collaborate with Sourcing & Vendor Management sourcers globally to ensure integrated delivery of sourcing initiatives

- Lead local commercial and sourcing aspects within assigned categories and value thresholds and provide SME support globally to deals within specific location

- Process purchase requests via the MyShop (Procure-to-Pay) system

- Supervise a team of approx. 12-15 employees based in Pune (3-4 direct reports)

- Support team members in sourcing engagements including requests for quotations/proposals, reviewing vendors and submitting for supplier screenings, financial review and level of multiple proposals/categories during a sourcing engagement, and formulating and proposing a recommendation to an IBP

- Interface with IBP and Legal Teams in various regions when reviewing and negotiating a contract. Establish regular communications with the key internal business partners, to ensure agreement and adoption of category strategies, on-going review of activities undertaken and maintenance of strong client service

- Define and implement plans within their team for their assigned category that is in line with category strategy and decision tress and guidance with due consideration for local market trends and opportunities, the operational requirements of CS, and available appropriate sourcing tools

- Establish, manage, develop, and support locally and for multiple regions, a capable supply base for each category requirements. Consolidate local supplier base and develop where relevant alternative sources ensuring uninterrupted supply of goods or services, delivered in a cost effective and quality manner. Support similar activities across the categories for the different regions

- Conduct periodic market research for assigned categories locally, regionally and globally, to include monitoring of market trends and supply/demand factors, technology advancements, legal dictates and communications to help in the decision making process to meet the strategic goals of the organization

- Accurate and continuous collection and reporting of projects managed, contracts concluded and their associated expenditure and financial impacts

- Identify and execute effective procurement strategies

- As this role will be the most senior sourcer based in Pune, potential to perform additional ad-hoc requirements in support of the global SVM team
