Vice President is responsible for supervision and management of the following tasks within their team:
- Trade pre-matching including (where applicable) communication with counterparties, agent banks and internal teams to resolve trade mismatches
- Fail management including timely matching, stock borrowing requests, fail coding and narration
- Client statement/confirmation creation (where applicable)
- Exception queue management (negative acknowledgement, system feed issues)
- Management of control or risk issues with escalation to senior management where applicable
- Reconciliation of depot and nostro accounts including timely resolution of breaks and narration
- Sign off of general ledger accounts
- Review daily risk indicators and escalate to management for spikes/incident
- MyIncidents documentation and ownership of resolutions for operations incidents
- Compliance with regulatory requirement of respective entities supported including client monies and securities processes (following agreed procedures)
- Stakeholder management including liaison with Trading, Sales, Client Service Reps, Trade Management, Finance, Product Control and Group Ops colleagues
- Be primary SME or Ops approver for new business change initiatives (new market/product/trade enablement)
- Be primary SME or Ops approver for strategic change initiatives (market and system changes)
- Coordinate and own all business continuity matters for your team
- Identify, escalate and implement control and efficiency improvements
- Represent Ops in respective control, business or country level meetings as required
- Expected to lead human capital strategy for team, including attracting and retaining top talent
- Responsible for all procedures and checklists to be maintained
- Responsible for management of the vendor relationship
