Job Description

Taking responsibility on the risk assessment and recommendation on wholesale deals in financial sector and managing the portfolio with the following:

- Managing the team and taking ownership of the Wholesale Financial Sector portfolio from Risk side.

- Conducting due diligence and field visits on new and existing clients. Underwriting the clients including financial and business analysis for client's risk assessment. Review and assessments of client's process and systems.

- Building and analysing various financial models/cash flows/ projections and scenario analysis. Understand and analyse client data and put validations in place. Ability to translate risk into scenarios and quantify the likely impact on the client.

- Finalisation and presentation risk recommendations and suggestions on covenants to safeguard the company's position.

- Regular monitoring of the portfolio performance and identification of early warning signals

- Industry benchmarking and cross portfolio comparison and analysis

- Developing views and guidance on various sectors and sub-segments

- Assess impact of regulatory changes and macro factors on the overall portfolio

- Help in defining the credit policy parameters for the vertical

- Liaison with other teams and risk team members to ensure smooth functioning while meeting business requirements

Skill set required:

- Total experience of >10 years

- Should have a background of evaluating or underwriting entities in financial services sector

- SME to guide and coach the team on best practices and build required processes

- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Ability to take initiative and manage a team. Flexible to take up new initiatives.

- A team player who can work in sync with internal and external stakeholders

- Clarity in communication and confidence to put forward one's view

- Tier-1 MBA candidates will be preferred

Candidates working in Credit and Risk functions of Banks, Credit Rating Agencies and other NBFCs looking at financial sector clients would be ideal fit for this role.
