Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources to join our startup team. The AVP for the people and culture team will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the human resources strategy to support our rapid growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organisational development, coupled with a passion for building and nurturing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strong HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the startup's objectives and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding of top-tier talent across all functions and levels.

- Design and oversee administration of employee benefits and compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, sustainable and aligned with the startup's goals

- Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and professional development initiatives.

- Provide strategic guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through effective communication, recognition programs, and opportunities for growth and development.

- Lead and mentor the HR team and people managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the startup.

- Monitor and analyse HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR processes and practices.

- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in HR management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions as appropriate. - Partner with People and Culture teams across the Credit Saison group of companies on common HR projects

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in HR management roles, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.

- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results and enhance organizational effectiveness.

- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, able to balance big-picture vision with attention to detail and execution.

- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.

- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) will be a plus.

- Passion for the startup ecosystem and a genuine desire to contribute to the success and growth of the organisation.
