The company's groundbreaking use of Big Data and mathematical algorithms to predict consumer behavior has transformed entire industries.  It provides analytics software and tools used across multiple industries to manage risk, fight fraud, build more profitable customer relationships, optimize operations and meet strict government regulations.  Job description:  - Support the growth of Company's Bangalore Operations in its core area of Analytics   - The development of application scorecards, behavioural scorecards and predictive models for Customers throughout APAC, Europe, the Middle East and Africa   - Provide consulting services to clients globally on a range of analytics based services through the customer life cycle including originations, account/customer management and strategy   Responsibilities:   - Design and development of scorecards / decision support models and Marketing models for major banks, retailers, credit card issuers and other lenders in the region.   - Responsibility for consultation with customers in relation to scorecard design and implementation.   - Delivery and maintenance of design specifications and project documentation   - Provide general consultancy to support customers in their on-going use of credit scores and their generation and interpretation of scorecard monitoring reports.   - Work on a number of different projects simultaneously, of varying complexity and length. Establishing priorities and coordinating work   - Using appropriate software to carry out scorecard development, statistical analysis and ad-hoc analysis   - Appropriate management of time   - Proactively manage efforts to maximize company's revenue, maintain client satisfaction, and quantify project benefits delivered.   Project Management:   - Exposure to Project Management principles   - Anticipates major project challenges;   Client Management:   - Strong command of business language; communicates persuasively and effectively   Domain Knowledge:   - Financial services industry knowledge   Analytic Skills :  - Analytic modelling experience is a must.   Desired Skills and Experience:  Experience/Qualifications:   Experience: 6-15 years   - MS or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or similar technical field, or equivalent professional experience beyond the Bachelors- degree.   - Experience with various modeling methodologies in a development or research role, including developing scoring algorithms is required.   - Course work in probability, statistics and quantitative methods is a must, including at least one semester of an applied statistics class.   - 2+ years of Project Management experience preferred.   - Previous (front-office) Banking Experience with a major bank in the APAC region   - First class English language skills is essential   Relevant Skills / Experience   - Scoring technology and methodologies   - Hands on Scorecard Model building would be preferred   - SAS/SPSS, Java or similar object oriented programming language;   - Model development techniques and tools such as SAS, Model Builder;   - Advanced statistical methods and quantitative analysis;   - Statistical tools and programs.   Personal Characteristics:  - Quantify, define, and specify the logical steps to produce a general objective or goal;   - Recognize inefficient or ineffective procedures and take steps to improve;   - Improvise and modify existing procedures and tools to fit new, non-standard situations;   - Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing with persons having diverse backgrounds of knowledge and experience; teach complex concepts and explain technical material to non-technical personnel;   - Adjust to a fluctuating workload; juggle priorities and withstand pressure of deadlines and operating problems;   - Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with people at all levels of the company and client organization.   - Absolute dedication to customer satisfaction.   - Self starter; given lack of clearly defined processes and solution oriented.   - Results driven.   - Suitable candidates must understand Credit Risk and preferably have a background in Analytical model building. We are looking for a person who has hands on model development in areas of modeling such as Application & Behavioural Scorecards, Collection Models and/or Marketing Propensity/Segmentation type modelling, PD, LGD, EAD/CCF.   - The candidate will also have exposure to model building tools such as Model Builder, SAS, SPSS. This person will be equally as comfortable in a role that blends both the business side of retail banking with technical skills of Analytical modeling.   The candidates are preferred having some experience working for a:   - Major Retail Bank   - Financial Software Company (eg: Algorithmics, SAS)   - Management Consulting Firm (eg: Oliver Wyman, PwC, E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte)   - Credit Card Issuer (Visa, AMEX)   We strongly prefer candidates with real-world Retail Banking experience within the Asia Pacific region. You enjoy working with customers on a Project basis, and preferably are proficient in an Asian Language   - You can deliver with some guidance from more senior staff members; gather, examine, and analyze data; write technical specifications for manipulating data; produces reports, graphs, and summaries; and confer with customer liaison contacts.   - You have exposure to Risk and can communicate with both business and technical people.
