Credit Risk Analyst - Strategic Solutions Group

The group's activities:

Strategic Solutions Group has been formed within the bank to deal with large corporate accounts that are restructured & non-performing assets (NPA) or accounts that are witnessing stress. The group tries to harness the sectoral knowledge, product capabilities and financial structuring expertise available within Bank to devise innovative solutions for these stress accounts.

The objective of SSG, depending on the situation, is broadly two-fold:

i. To enhance & preserve the underlying economic value of loan exposure, and/or

ii. Maximize recovery for the bank by doing effective workouts using various tools provided by RBI or resolution under the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC)

The role:

The role chiefly involves pursuing course of actions like:

- Induction of new capital providers / monetization of assets

- Reorganization of operations by inducting operating partners & debt restructuring

- Resolution under IBC

The role also involves close co-ordination with the legal team for the cases where the bank is pursuing litigation as a means to recover the loans.

Key skills required:

- Analysis of financial performance and audit reports of companies

- Drafting of appraisals, memos and preparing minutes of lenders meetings

- Ability to engage with clients and co lenders to get information as well as to achieve consensus on desired resolution strategy for the account

- Understanding of RBI regulations for banks D

- Documentation skills
