Broad Responsibilities and Duties: - Developing, training and leading a team of 10-15 credit underwriters - Standardizing the credit process and making credit model/algorithm for quicker loan disbursements - Maintain portfolio of customers, monitor repayment progress and lead collections initiatives for delinquent accounts - Working closely with the top management for making broad credit policies and reviewing portfolio growth - Interaction with the in-house team to provide solutions to clients in a coordinated and timely manner - Continuously innovate the credit underwriting process to make the process seamless for the customer - Dealing with any queries relating to your client list and escalating where needed - Analyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in the lending portfolio and figure out new ways to mitigate these risks - Work with the engineering and product team to build automated credit appraisal models and reports using machine learning algorithms - Monthly reporting to high-level internal management, sales & account management teams on outstanding issues and inform them of potential client problems Skills: - Minimum 2 years experience in consumer loan underwriting; - Strong judgment to deal with ambiguity; - Confidence to deal with difficult clients; - Experience in presenting to senior audience; - Having a systematic approach to work and an eye for detail; - Self-driven and proactive in executing projects.
