Credit Manager


Job Description & Responsibilities:


1) Assessing credit risk for Secured and Unsecured Loan and responsible for end-to-end analysis of 'Financial Documents' and proposal appraisal of salaried and self-employed borrowers

2) Working closely with the Business, Sales, Ops teams and Financing Partner to solicit ideas for new products and ensure a seamless disbursal and post-sales journey for customers

3) Customer discussions to assess the loan requirement & other credit checks

4) Understanding the business model thoroughly for fintech companies & their borrowers

5) Should be able to see through the potential risks of the proposals

6) Maintaining the quality of credit information, underwriting standards & presentation

7) PDD & Portfolio management

8) Facilitate the development of clearly defined and updated policies & procedures for all credit risk management

9) Accuracy of work and timeline adherence

10) Proven work experience in credit underwriting of asset products

11) Understanding of local business, micro-economy & financial analytical skills

12) To have a sound knowledge of the market in terms of risks associated with the product and prevalent market practices in operation

13) Keen understanding and focus on risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory framework

Desired Candidate Profile (Education Qualifications, Work Experience and Skills) :

- Graduate/Postgraduate/MBA (Finance) from Tier-1/2 institute or CA / CA-Inter (IPCC Pass) certification

- 3-5 years of work-experience in NBFC/Banking in SME & Secured Product Credit Under-writing

- Prior knowledge of 'Credit Underwriting' and 'negative profiling' will be an added advantage

- Strong business acumen and a passion for delivering outsized outcomes

- Strong analytical & communication skills (written & verbal)

- Strategic thinker with strong communication skills to define a long-term vision and ability to drive/execute results through process compliance by aligning stakeholders to drive up product adaption

- Should possess logical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve problems

- Must be self-motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment and should be able to dissect and tackle business challenges
