Credit Manager - Auto Loan Business (5-12 yrs)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Manager to join our Client place. As an Area Credit office you will be responsible for managing the credit assessment and approval process for auto loans within your designated area. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the creditworthiness of loan applicants and maintaining a healthy loan portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluate creditworthiness of loan applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information

- Assess and mitigate credit risks associated with auto loan applications

- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

- Review loan applications and make informed decisions on credit approvals or rejections

- Collaborate with sales teams to provide guidance on credit-related matters and assist in structuring loan deals

- Monitor and manage the performance of existing auto loan portfolios, including delinquency and default rates

- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to credit policies and identify areas for improvement

- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the auto loan industry

- Provide training and guidance to credit analysts and loan officers to enhance their credit assessment skills

- Managing the team of credit officers.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in credit analysis and underwriting, preferably in the auto loan, NBFC industry

- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques and credit scoring models

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in auto lending

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to make sound credit decisions within established guidelines

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in using credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite
