Communication : Excellent English communication very important for this role, since the position holder will have interaction with lot of ship owners from various parts of the world

Purpose - Why does this role exist?
The Credit Controller will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all internal credit policies and procedures, as well as assisting in the development and improvement of these policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for the preparation and follow-up of daily outstanding receivables statements globally, daily collection reconciliation, and follow-up to confirm bank receipts.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators) (Expected Outcome / deliverables of the role)
- The Credit Controller will prepare various credit reports for management and manage cash flow.
- Supervising financial transactions within the finance department to ensure there are no discrepancies in daily and MIS reports.
- They will be required to communicate regularly with global customers to ensure timely collection of receivables and to reconcile customer balances at regular intervals.
- Maintaining cordial working relationships within the various functions in the organisation as well as with the global customers will also be a key part of this role.

- Experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and credit evaluation.
- Experience in credit control, collections, or accounts receivable management
- Decision making authority (Decisions expected)
Educational Background and Work Experience
Graduate / Post-graduate (Preferably MBA or equivalent, CA Inter, CMA ) with atleast 10 years in Credit Control with International exposure. International credit control experience is mandatory.
