Hiring for a well known bank

As a Credit Analyst - Real Estate at our bank, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and managing the credit risk associated with real estate lending transactions. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong financial acumen, and the ability to make sound credit decisions while adhering to bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Your expertise will contribute to the bank's overall risk management and profitability in the real estate lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Evaluation:

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of real estate loan applicants, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports.

- Assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and evaluate their ability to service debt obligations.

Risk Assessment:

- Analyze real estate market conditions, property appraisals, and property cash flow to determine the level of risk associated with each loan application.

- Utilize credit scoring models and risk assessment tools to quantify and communicate credit risk.

Due Diligence:

- Perform comprehensive due diligence on borrowers, including background checks and legal reviews, to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to resolve any potential issues.

Loan Structuring:

- Work closely with loan officers to structure real estate loans that align with the bank's risk tolerance and lending policies.

- Provide recommendations on appropriate loan terms and conditions.

Documentation and Compliance:

- Prepare accurate and complete credit documentation packages, ensuring they adhere to bank policies and regulatory standards.

- Stay updated on banking regulations and guidelines relevant to real estate lending and ensure compliance.

Communication and Reporting:

- Communicate credit decisions and recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders, including senior management, loan officers, and underwriters.

- Prepare regular credit reports and portfolio updates for management review.

Portfolio Management:

- Monitor the performance of real estate loans in the bank's portfolio, identifying early signs of credit deterioration.

- Collaborate with loan workout and recovery teams when necessary to address non-performing loans
