Credit Analyst - Bank - IIM/XLRI/JBIMS/SP Jain

Our client is a one of the biggest MNC banks in India and they are looking for a credit analyst to join their team.As a credit analyst, the main responsibility will entail analysis and recommendation for corporate advances with a view to minimize credit losses and promote business growth.

Roles and responsibilities:

Credit Appraisal

- Understanding the client (prospect or existing) and its business, the industry of the client and its competitor group.

- Analyze Financial Statements.

- Prepare Credit Proposals in liaison with RMs.

- Identification of Risk Areas.

- Recommendations to mitigate risks.

- Attending Credit Committees and modifying proposals based on credit committee recommendations.

- Preparing Sanction letters in accordance with authorization.

- Analyze and research on Industry & Business environments.

Client Interface

- Interact with clients in liaison with RMs and Group Heads

- In order to understand the client and industry better

- Attend Consortium Meetings / Plant visits in liaison with / in the absence of RM.

Compliance

- Being aware of the regulatory environment.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory mechanisms and compliance of credit process with the same.

Primary Responsibility:

- Preparation of Credit Proposals

- Analysis of Financial Statements

- Analysis / Research on Industry & Business Environment

- Identification of Risk Areas

- Attending & presenting files at Credit Committee Meetings

- Credit Monitoring and Management

Key Skills Required:

- Exposure to Credit Analysis of Corporates across diversified industries, mainly across large corporates and MNC clients

- Understanding of Business, Industry & Regulatory Environment

- Knowledge of Financial Statements & Balance Sheet spreadsheets

- Ability to correlate financial analysis with the business model of a corporate

- Knowledge of / Experience in Cash Flow Forecasting Models

- Analytical Perspective with an "eye for detail".

- Enjoys challenges, seeks excellence and has a high energy level

- Ability to work flexibly under pressure.

- Excellent Writing Skills

Experience

- 2-5 years of relevant experience in credit subsequent to completion of Post-Graduation

- You will be from a tier 1 B school - Only IIM/ XLRI / JBIMS/ S P Jain
