Job profile :

- The current assignment entails engagement with ground level research including interactions with farmers, government officials, stakeholders in rural areas, industry players involved in agribusinesses, etc. This individual will work on a wide range of work streams and written deliverables that require both qualitative and quantitative research methods. One must be intellectually curious and have the desire to quickly develop generalist knowledge.

- Conduct wide-ranging secondary literature searches and create information to elicit key insights

- The candidate is expected to support the research work by involvement in all aspects of the project including desk review, field data collection (quantitative and qualitative), data analysis and report writing.

-The successful candidate will also be interacting with the project partners (Government, Public, Private, donor agencies) as and when required.

- The candidate will also be involved in writing project proposals, coordinate and follow up with stakeholders etc.

Desired qualification : Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Agricultural Economics/ Rural Management / Social Welfare/ Agribusiness/ Development Economics or relevant field. A doctorate in Economics/Agricultural economics is desirable. The position calls for excellent writing skills. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Excel, Power Point, Word

- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

- Good interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to work quickly and cogently with minimal supervision and to integrate quantitative and qualitative analyses.
