Job Title : Business Development Manager

Department : Sales

Reporting to : Sales Director Direct Reporters : Business Development Executive

Job Brief:

Chemical Process Equipments Pvt. Ltd. (CPE), is Indias largest manufacturer and exporter of FRP/GRP equipment. With a special focus on Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) systems in Thermal Power Plants, CPE has ventured into manufacturing and application of Glass Flake Lining products in collaboration with Steuler KCH, Germany who is one of the global leaders in surface protection technology.

CPE is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead its marketing and sales activities in the market. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This would require developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities. Experience in industrial lining/coating products is a must.

Job Responsibilities :

Business Plan:

- Research emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers needs

- Present business or marketing opportunities to company management.

- Prepare general business plan to identify key focus areas for the team.

- Discuss the business plan with Sales Director to finalize the same.

- Prepare key action points based on business plan and ensure implementation.

- Explain the plan to the Business Development Executive and fix responsibilities for him/her.

- Guide the Business Development Executive to meet the target.

Market Research, New Clientele Development and Selling:

- Data mining to identify upcoming projects.

- Create database of projects, consultants, EPCs awarded, timelines, etc.

- Devise client meeting plan based on list of projects provided.

- Visit clients & consultants to discuss regarding upcoming projects.

- Appraising clients about product portfolio using presentations and other collateral and seek

approval of material to be included in specifications.

- Update database of projects based on meetings with clients.

- Report to the Sales Director to update on clients visited, project status and devise further plan.

- Review enquiries received and brief Sales Director on the same.

- Submitting proposals to clients as per the enquiry.

- Follow up enquiries and submit report of offers submitted and their status.

- Attend techno-commercial discussions/negotiations with the clients.

- Close orders.

Branding and Promotions:

- Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays.

- Prepare quarterly newsletters and send to clients.

- Identify and propose best platforms for promotion of products.

- Attend promotional events organization participates in.

Projects:

- Liaise with the project team and clients in case of any concerns during execution.

- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.

Qualifications:

- Masters / PGDM in Marketing (optional).

- Graduate in Chemical Engineering.

Work Experience:

- Preferably 8-10 years of experience in industrial lining/coating sales.

Functional Skills:

- Marketing skills.

- Negotiations skills.

- Strong communication and IT fluency.

- Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations

- Attention to detail.

- Analytical ability.

- Excellent time management and organisation.
